Safety & Training Coordinator - Raisebore

Reporting into the General Manager of Raiseboring, this full-time Safety & Training Coordinator - Raisebore role, based in Brisbane will be responsible for coordinating and delivering the safety and training programs for Redpath Mining's Raisebore operations. You will play a key part in ensuring the health and safety of our workforce and driving a positive safety culture across the business.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, coordinate and deliver comprehensive safety and training programs for raisedrill operations
• Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks
• Provide safety and emergency response training to all raisedrill personnel
• Investigate and report on incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
• Liaise with supervisors and managers to ensure all safety and training requirements are met
• Maintain detailed records of all safety and training activities
• Support the continuous improvement of safety systems and processes

Qualifications and experience:

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Mining or a related discipline
• Extensive experience in a similar safety and training coordination role, ideally within the mining or resources sector
• Excellent knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation, regulations and best practice
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and motivate others
• Proficient in the use of safety and training software and systems
• A passionate commitment to safety and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
